Project Overview:

Learn to type is an Introduction to Keyboard and type learning platform for kids aged 6-10. The platform will encourage kids to play games and learn how to type in the correct way.

Problem Statement:

How can we transform the intimidating task of learning to type into a fun experience for children? By blending physical interaction with digital feedback.

Laying the Groundwork

Typing might seem simple to adults, but for young learners, it involves mastering a mix of physical movement, cognitive readiness, and unfamiliar tools.

Our task wasn’t just to build a typing app — it was about crafting a blended learning journey that combined digital feedback, physical action, and developmental alignment in a seamless way.

Challenges

The journey of learning to type begins with a unique phygital experience made possible by LearnStation and LearnSense.

Designing for Real-World Learning Environments

To create a smooth interaction flow, we had to account for how kids physically use the device — whether they’re just watching or actively typing.
